| Wet or air dry pellets of concentrated flux and flue dust are fed to reactor and drop in to a heterogeneous mixture of molten lead, slag, PbO & charge material where oxygen is blown to form SO2, sulphate content flue dust and PbO and carbothermal reduction of lead oxide slag by means of coal dust. |
