In its 60 years of untiring service to Nation, OCL has always given priority to community development. In its endeavor to uplift the conditions of poor and hapless tribals of this locality, OCL has undertaken various developmental activities in peripheral areas of its plant at Rajgangpur and Captive Mines at Lanjiberna.

We are in the process of constructing a sewage treatment plant to handle sewage of Rajgangpur municipality passing through our land and also sewage of OCL township. This will eliminate one of the major source of mosquito breeding. The treated water will be reused for plantation and green belt generation. |

Organising “Bana Mahotsav” every year. Planted about 2,53,000 trees over a land of 92 hectares in Lanjiberna and 1,62,000 trees over a land of 70 hectares in Rajgangpur so far. |

Organising awareness program in schools and planting trees in school premises. |

Distributing tree samplings to villagers every year. |

| Apart from above, OCL has donated generously to Prime Minister’s and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund when natural calamities like cyclone, flood etc struck the Nation. During 2008-09, OCL has donated Rs. 35 lakhs to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for relief of flood affected people of Odisha. |

| OCL's has been awarded with coveted CSR Trophy by Help Age India. Syt. R. H. Dalmia, President OCL India Ltd. received the trophy from the Chief Guest, Syt. Kapil Shibal, the Union Minister for Science & Technology, in New Delhi. |
